CT's 2nd annual LGBTQIA+ Youth & Family PRIDE Festival returns Saturday May 14th apart of Southington PRIDE's 2022 event lineup.
Event Details
Join us Saturday May `14th for a day full of fun, laughter, family time, and PRIDE! Our Youth & Family PRIDE Festival provides families a fun and age-appropriate place to celebrate LGBTQIA+ PRIDE. From 2:30-4pm, families will get to participate in a variety of activities including an inflatable section, basketball court & field games, climbing wall, trike race track, a giant green slide, playscape, ninja warrior course, hiking trails, and a #teenzone with our friends at Q+.
At 4pm, everyone will gather at the property's amphitheater for a Drag Queen Story Hour. We will be reading four books that highlight LGBTQ+ families, diverse communities, individuals with special needs & disabilities, and mental health. Books we will be reading will be announced ahead of time via our Facebook page on May 7th 2022. After the event ends at 5, check out one of our participating #PRIDEPASS restaurants in town that will be offering family meal specials for PRIDE 2022!
This event is hosted and organized by Southington PRIDE as a part of their 2022 celebration. Southington PRIDE is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion throughout our community. Youth & Family PRIDE Festival 2022 will be ran at YMCA Camp Sloper Outdoor Center at 1000 East Street, Southington, CT.
